VENUE
CUENCA
Cuenca is the third largest city in Ecuador and capital of the Province of Azuay and of Region 6. Its official name is Santa Ana de los Cuatro Ríos de Cuenca and was founded by the Spaniard Gil Ramírez Dávalos, on April 12, 1557.
Owner of a beauty that takes us back to past times, Cuenca has been chosen as the host city of TICAL2020.
Cuenca is known for the banks of the river Tomebamba and for its handcrafts, including Panama hats. Its central square, Parque Calderón, houses the New Cathedral with its blue dome and the 16th-century Old Cathedral, which is currently a religious museum. The Pumapungo Archaeological Park and Museum exhibits ruins and artifacts from the Inca city of Tomebamba.
The Conference will be held at the Del Rio Convention Center.
