On Saturday June 25 we received the sad news of the death of our dear friend Luis Alberto Gutiérrez. The sadness is enormous, as well as our eternal gratitude for his always lending and strength collaboration. Luis was a noble, friendly man, and immensely generous with his knowledge; the ICT world learned of its invaluable and continuous contribution to take Latin American universities to their necessary development through them.
Research professor at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, of which for several years he was Director of Technologies, Luis Alberto was a member and chaired the Board of RedCUDI, was a member of the Board of SCALAC, RediTIC, and of the program committees of the TICAL2020 (and its four previous editions) and CARLA2020 conferences.
So long, dear Luis Alberto. In the distance we hug your dear family and friends.
